MEET THE TEAM

  • Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor (LPC-S)

My vision for DND is centered around helping both clients and clinicians connect to their authentic selves. As a clinician, I hope to offer space for others to feel heard and understood as they journey through their stories and experiences.

After graduating from Texas State University in 2006 with a Master’s in Professional Counseling, I worked for many years with adolescents, adults, couples, and families involved in both the juvenile justice system and CPS. I love working with parents and their children to develop strategies to improve connection and navigate the challenges that they are facing. In addition to working with clients, I am also very excited to be able to offer supervision to those new professionals entering the field.

I view my most important role as creating a safe place for others to be truly seen and understood as we explore whatever it is that brings you through the door.

After graduating in 2016 with my Master’s in Social Work from Texas State University, I began working with adolescents and adults that have experienced all kinds of traumas. I see my role as a therapist is to walk alongside my clients as they connect with their truest selves and create a life worth living. I am trained in multiple therapeutic styles including EMDR, CPT, and DBT. I look forward to working with you on your journey, wherever that may take you.

  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

I see my therapist role as providing a safe, judgement-free space to witness and support you finding and loving all parts of your story. I will follow you as we work our way through the uncomfortable; humor will be our friend; and together we will uncover the strength of authentic connection. Whether you are seeking support for yourself or for your child, my approach is the same. No matter the age, everyone deserves to be seen and heard.

I received my Master’s in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Addictions from the University of Denver in 2016. Throughout my career, I have worked with families as a therapeutic advocate. I collaborate with children and caregivers to build upon internal strengths and resources both individually and as a family system. I am also trained in both EMDR and Brene Brown’s Daring Way model, and through this have come to know the importance of vulnerable connection as healing power for internalized shame. As Brene would say, “You can choose courage or you can choose comfort. You can’t have both.”

POPULATIONS I ENJOY: Kids, Teens, Emerging Adults, Adults, Couples

EXPERIENCE WITH: Anxiety, Childhood Trauma, Depression, PTSD and Trauma, Substance Use

  • Licensed Professional Counselor

One of my favorite things in life is story-telling. Whether through movies, books, comedy, or theater, there is something special about sharing a story with real people experiencing real life. Therapy provides a space to share one’s personal story in a way that can bring healing and meaning, and I value that immensely about the process.

In 2020, I earned my Master’s in Counseling at Concordia University at Irvine after being a preschool teacher for 4-5 year olds. I have worked with kids of all ages, parents, and adults in my professional years, and I enjoy working through the unique aspects of each phase that we experience in life. I hope to offer my clients a safe space and the tools that they need to grow, change, and heal.

POPULATIONS I ENJOY: Early Childhood Kids, Early Elementary Kids, Adults, Parents, People Helpers

EXPERIENCE WITH: Adoption, Anger Management, Anxiety, Behavioral Challenges, Childhood Trauma, Depression, Grief and Loss, Life Transitions, Marriage and Family Issues, Parenting, PTSD and Trauma, Self Esteem, Self Harm and Suicidal Thoughts

I believe that every person is inherently worthy, has a valuable mission, and deserves to be seen and understood in the uniqueness of one's life story. Therapy provides a space of safety and unconditional acceptance which allows a person to show up fully, more able to explore one's vulnerabilities and the deepest parts of oneself. I believe it is through relationships that we come to know ourselves and learn how to strengthen our connections with those we love.

Upon discovering my love for Psychology, Neuroscience and Mental Health advocacy while at Oberlin College, I later went on to earn my Master's in Counseling at Texas State in 2022. I come to therapy with a holistic approach that centers the balance of mind, body, and soul. I enjoy bringing in my wide-variety of interests in different healing modalities, from spiritual perspectives, to mindfulness- and somatic-based practices such as meditation, movement and dance, along with expressive arts, sound and music healing, and tea ceremony. I look forward to being your companion as we walk along this beautiful, hard, and often messy path of healing and discovery.

EXPERIENCE WITH: Anxiety, Depression, Gender Identity & Expression, Grief & Loss, Life Transitions, Marriage & Family Issues, PTSD and Trauma, Self-Esteem, Self-Harm, and Substance Use.

Prior to obtaining my degree in Counseling, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English Literature in 2017 from the University of Texas at Austin.
